Uppsala, Uppsala, Sweden Viedoc Full time

Who we are and what we do:
At Viedoc, we design engaging software that modernizes clinical research so that necessary treatments can reach the people who need them faster.

We accomplish this by combining technology and a creative design to streamline, automate and simplify conventional processes within clinical research. Simply put, Viedoc makes every aspect of a clinical study a bit smoother, resulting in greater discoveries that make a difference, and has the potential to improve lives.

Real change means challenging the status quo – our driving force since we started almost two decades ago. In everything we do, we work for a healthier world, searching for better, more efficient solutions that answer to the needs of both our users and humanity.

We are proud to foster an inclusive workplace. We believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and supportive work culture will lead to a better work environment for our employees and, ultimately, a better product.

What you will do and why:

We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Global IT Operations Manager to lead the operational strategy for our Azure-based SaaS and DevOps platform. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure that powers our business across Europe, the US, China, and Japan.

This is not an internal IT role, your focus will be on the global cloud operations that enable our products and customers.

Our technology operates in the highly regulated healthcare sector, where compliance and operational excellence directly impact patient safety. You'll play a key role in driving reliability, performance, and cost efficiency in an environment where security and quality are non-negotiable.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and evolve our Azure DevOps environment, ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams.
  • Drive continuous optimization of our Azure platform for cost, performance, and security.
  • Build and lead a 24/7 global operations team, ensuring high availability and resilience.
  • Define and execute the future operations roadmap, balancing insourcing and outsourcing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, and GDPR.
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT to align on infrastructure and security standards while maintaining clear boundaries between product platform operations and internal IT.
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft and other key vendors, ensuring strategic and commercial alignment.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps leadership.
  • Strong background in CI/CD, cloud reliability, and platform engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage mission-critical operations in regulated or high-stakes industries.
  • Experience leading distributed, international teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach when needed.
  • Skilled in vendor management, contracts, and operational optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, global outlook

Why join us:

You'll be joining a global company with a clear mission: to improve healthcare outcomes through reliable, secure, and scalable technology. We offer the chance to make a tangible impact on both our business and the lives of patients around the world, while working with modern technology, empowered teams, and a strong sense of purpose.

Interested?

Apply today and help us shape the future of global healthtech operations.
