The Accountant is responsible for all accounting and complementary transactions of the legal entity, including reporting for inclusion in consolidated group accounts, in an international setting with tight deadlines. The position requires sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and broad knowledge of accounting principles and systems. The Accountant is a team-player working with the local team and Country Manager, is part of a group of international employees and closely works with the SSC Controller's team.

• Ensuring proper processing of transactions in the various Oracle modules in conformity with appropriate requirements in both Swedish GAAP and US GAAP
• Set up and process transactions in general ledger, vendor and customer accounting, processing of vendor invoices, processing bank transactions, ensuring and making timely payments to vendors, maintain fixed assets registers and lease accounting as well as performing verification and analysis of balances.
• Development and preparation of financial statements for Governmental agencies, Statistics, Tax, management, submitting various filings and reports timely and accurately.
• Responsible for monthly timely payroll output and related monthly timekeeping and tax /social security filings and payments.
• Maintain banking contacts and organize treasury and payments
• Handle local insurances ensuring proper coverage and related reporting and communication.
• Ensure collection of local Trade Accounts Receivable in cooperation with Operations.
• Maintain external auditors contacts and prepare the Annual Financial Accounts. Assist with internal and external audits by providing explanations and variance analyses for significant account fluctuations.
• Coordinate with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data.
• Bring forward improvements in processes or procedures if and when identified.
• Pro-active and hands-on mentality.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with prior supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Relevant experience in lieu of formal education and /or required years of experience.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in Swedish and English language.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Familiarity with Oracle and GIS is an asset.
