Scope
Two students completing 30hp each (masters grade thesis)
Background
Newly introduced products can, unfortunately, inherit errors from previous versions. The goal of this thesis is to analyse large data sets to quickly identify these errors and mitigate them early in the testing stage. Doing so will enable a risk-based approach to testing while simultaneously covering more ground regarding sensitive features. Often, we have products in development that are similar, so it can be advantageous to construct a visualization tool that highlights software defects potentially shared between them.
Goal
What parameters are important?
- Investigate approaches to data analysis
- Create an algorithm to analyse product-data and narrow down what could be useful from a QA perspective
- Create an interactive web-based tool that takes a product as input and highlight errors that similar products are prone to
