Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Engineer to support development, integration, and validation of automotive ECUs and control systems. The role focuses on building and maintaining HIL test environments, developing automated test cases, and ensuring software quality across the V-model development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain HIL test benches for automotive ECUs (e.g., Powertrain, ADAS, Chassis, Body, or E-Mobility systems)
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test cases for ECU software validation
  • Integrate real-time models (plant, vehicle, environment) into HIL systems
  • Perform SIL, MIL, and HIL testing and analyze test results
  • Debug test failures and support root-cause analysis in collaboration with software and system engineers
  • Develop test scripts using tools such as Python, CAPL, or MATLAB
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and test results
  • Support continuous integration and regression testing frameworks
  • Prepare test reports and contribute to quality and release decisions

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in HIL testing within the automotive domain
  • Strong hands-on experience with HIL tools such as dSPACE, Vector (VT System), NI, or similar platforms
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and real-time model development
  • Experience in test automation and scripting (Python, CAPL, or similar)
  • Understanding of ECU software development and validation processes
  • Familiarity with V-model development methodology

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive)
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262)
  • Experience with electric vehicle systems (BMS, Inverter, EDU, Charging)
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Git-based workflows
  • Experience with requirement management tools (DOORS, Polarion, or similar)
