Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden Nepa Full time

At Nepa, innovation and data-driven insights are at the core of everything we do. As a company on an exciting growth journey, we empower our clients and colleagues to make smarter decisions through curiosity, creativity, and continuous learning. With operations across several countries, we are a dynamic and collaborative team driven by innovation and a commitment to excellence.

Our Finance function reflects this spirit. We're in the midst of an exciting transformation, having already taken significant steps toward automation and now building the future of Finance: one that is deeply data-driven, forward-leaning, and business supportive. We're moving beyond traditional reporting toward becoming a strategic intelligence and insight function that drives real business value. This is where insights meet action, where financial data becomes decisions, and where Finance becomes a true business partner in shaping Nepa's continued success.

We're looking for a Group Business Controller who wants to help shape the future of business intelligence at Nepa. This role is a great next step for someone with previous experience in controlling who wants to grow into a broader, more business-facing Group role. If you're energized by the opportunity to be part of, and actively drive, this transformation, working closely with leadership to build something truly innovative, this is your moment.

The opportunity

In this hands-on and analytical role, reporting directly into our VP of Finance, you will be a key partner to Finance and the business, taking ownership of revenue recognition, project profitability reporting, and the group's business intelligence. You will be instrumental in driving automation and building data-driven processes that transform how we work, reducing manual tasks and creating intelligent, automated reporting systems that free up time for strategic analysis and business partnering. Working closely with project and account managers as well as management, you will translate financial data into actionable insights, support decision-making, and play a central role in the monthly closing and management reporting process, in close collaboration with the Finance team. Combining operational follow-up with strategic work on forecasting, business cases, and improving our financial steering model, you will leverage automation and advanced analytics to ensure accurate and timely reporting and help secure profitable growth in a dynamic international environment.

Key responsibilities

Drive and own the financial follow-up of project portfolios across markets with focus on revenue recognition, margins and cash flow, securing accurate and timely reporting of monthly results, in close collaboration with the Finance team.

Support and challenge project managers, client team leads and other stakeholders on pricing, scope changes, profitability improvements and achievement of financial and operational targets.

Drive and develop the group's performance management framework, including KPIs, dashboards and follow-up models, and ensure relevant, value-creating reporting for management and Board.

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, perform deep-dive profitability analyses, prepare business cases and strengthen the link between project-level data and group-level forecasts and reporting.

Improve financial models, BI reports and analytical tools, and maintain standardized reports and dashboards for revenue recognition, project margins and monthly performance follow-up.

Secure efficient data flows, harmonized structures and standardized processes for planning, reporting and analysis.

Act as a strategic finance partner, support and coach local controllers and finance colleagues, and contribute to a culture of transparency, learning and fact-based decision-making.

What we're looking for

Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
You understand both the numbers and the business drivers behind them, and can transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Relevant experience in business controlling, FP&A, or similar roles
, including project follow-up, budgeting, forecasting, or performance management at group or business-unit level.

Proactive and structured. Able to quickly understand new environments
, drive your own work, and challenge and support stakeholders at all levels with clarity and confidence.

Technical proficiency
. Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI). Experience with and Salesforce is a plus.

Strong communicator in both Swedish and English
, capable of presenting complex financial information in a pedagogical way.

Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

What we offer

A central and influential role in a global, data-driven, and forward-thinking company.

The opportunity to shape how Nepa works with business intelligence, analysis, and project follow-up during an exciting growth phase.

A supportive and collaborative culture where curiosity, creativity, and continuous learning are valued.

An international work environment with colleagues across multiple markets.

A modern office in central Stockholm, with flexibility in how and where you work.

A few more details:

– You believe in the power of data to drive smarter decisions and lasting growth.

– You share our values: curiosity that sees what others don't, passion that shows, clarity over complexity, and the drive to care and act.

– You take pride in delivering the clarity, speed, and impact our clients rely on.
