We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to explore and develop machine learning models in financial crime prevention. The role is permanent and can be based in Stockholm, Helsinki or Copenhagen.

About our team

Meet the AI & Machine Learning team. Our role is to improve how we detect and investigate financial crime with the help of AI and machine learning, to keep our customers, Nordea and society safe.

Our team is about 25 people working out of Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen as a part of the group financial crime prevention (GFCP) unit that provides financial crime prevention services to all of the bank.

Main responsibilities in this role:

Explore new machine learning use cases in collaboration with business stakeholdersImplement, deploy and monitor our machine learning applicationsRigorously evaluate and improve the quality of our machine learning applicationsDoing analyses related to the models and present the results

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you are ambitious and enjoy bringing ideas, exploring their potential, and presenting the results. You are passionate about building machine learning models that can identify complex financial crimes, ensuring both the bank's and society's safety.

Your background and skills include:

MSc or PhD in a filed related to machine learning or statistical modellingAt least four years work experience fully dedicated to predictive machine learning model developmentTheoretical understanding of machine learning and statisticsA knack for tackling complex problems and creating understandable and robust solutionsStrong communication and presentation skills, explaining complex ideas to different stakeholdersFluent in Python
