Assignment Description

The company is looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can take their analytics to the next level by working both strategically and practically with the implementation of value-creating AI solutions. The department's analytics are in wide demand within and outside the business, which—combined with a rapidly changing environment—creates a need for new types of analytics and insights.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implement AI and machine learning to increase accuracy and streamline insight generation.
  • Apply analytics in areas such as trend detection, forecasting, and time series analysis.
  • Connect multiple data sources, both internal and external, to create core analytics.
  • Further develop automated workflows and ensure that data warehouses (Azure storage) and IT prerequisites support analytics work.
  • Lead and coach the team around AI opportunities and identify relevant application areas.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to share best practices and create synergies with other parts of the organization.
  • Ensure business value in analytics through understanding both technology and business needs.
  • Develop technology from MVP to production launch.
  • Present analytics and insights internally in a clear, audience-adapted manner.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience programming in Python, PySpark, or similar programming languages.
  • Several years of experience building efficient, clean code to deliver AI initiatives from MVP to value capture.
  • Several years of experience analyzing large datasets using machine learning.
  • Experience with GenAI for market and trend intelligence.
  • Experience with predictive modeling and forecasting.
  • Relevant academic degree.

Meritorious Experience

  • Experience and insight in the energy industry.
  • Experience working with data quality: identifying issues, addressing deficiencies, and initiating improvement activities.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI.
