About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Production Planning (PP) Functional Consultant to support an ongoing transformation project focused on process optimization and system enhancement. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP ECC Production Planning, particularly within discrete manufacturing, and will play a key role in driving process improvements, ensuring system accuracy, and aligning operations with best-in-class manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP ECC Production Planning.
  • Lead and support process clean-up and improvement initiatives within the production area.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and IT.
  • Provide expert guidance on MES–ECC integrations (preferred).
  • Configure and maintain complex routings, object dependencies, and multilevel BOMs.
  • Manage and optimize PP master data, including MRP planning parameters.
  • Apply manufacturing best practices, including scrapping procedures for WIP and rework order handling.
  • Support forecasting processes, including Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs).
  • Contribute to workshops and discussions aimed at improving operational performance.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with SAP ECC PP in a discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to configure and maintain complex routings, BOMs, and variant configurations.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, production planning, and manufacturing processes.
  • (Preferred) Experience with MES integration in SAP ECC.
  • Familiarity with object dependencies and PP master data management.
  • Experience with forecasting and planning functionalities in SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional settings.
  • Proficiency in English (advanced); Swedish proficiency is an advantage.
  • Availability to work on-site in Västerås as required.
