We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Engineering division, working on advanced scientific instrument development within the Neutron Chopper Work Package. In this role, you will support the design, integration, and delivery of components and systems for accelerator and detector environments.

Key Responsibilities:


• Create, update, and manage 2D/3D mechanical designs in CATIA


• Integrate partner-designed components into the Master CAD model


• Produce manufacturing, installation, and technical documentation


• Support assembly, system installation, and on-site engineering activities


• Monitor manufacturing progress and participate in acceptance and quality inspections


• Review engineering drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with standards


• Manage design maturity, version control, and configuration integrity

Qualifications:


• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field


• Experience in mechanical CAD design and in CATIA


• Knowledge of basic mechanical engineering principles


• Experience with tooling design, coatings (epoxy resins), and GD&T


• Familiarity with additive or composite manufacturing is valued


• Exposure to scientific, accelerator, or industrial environments is a plus
