Freelance Developer – 4-Month Contract

An innovative technology company in the healthcare sector is seeking an experienced
freelance software developer
for a
four-month, full-time contract
, with potential for extension. The team is developing solutions that help hospitals improve early detection and response to critical medical conditions.

About the Role

You'll collaborate closely with a compact technical team, including a
Cloud Architect
and a
Backend/Machine Learning Engineer
, to strengthen the product and prepare it for large-scale integrations.

This role involves a mix of hands-on engineering tasks:

  • Increasing test coverage and improving overall code quality
  • Refactoring and cleaning up legacy systems and databases
  • Building and deploying new features
  • Contributing to occasional frontend development tasks

You may also take part in technical discussions with partner IT teams, helping clarify integration details, data flows, and security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development

  • Skilled in writing tests, debugging, and improving system performance
  • Reliable, organized, and proactive
  • Comfortable communicating with external technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, medtech, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with
    Epic (EHR software)
    or other healthcare integration systems
  • Experience handling personal or sensitive data in production environments
