At GeoGuessr, the Business function is responsible for the company's financial operations and commercial strategy, with a focus on maximizing growth and profitability. This includes owning the company's business KPIs and providing analytical support to the rest of the organization.

Expectations on the role
  • The Product Analyst role will be part of a central insights team working closely with the Chief Business Officer and Insights Lead

  • The role will focus on product analytics, mainly supporting the company's Chief Product Officer and Product Managers

  • The employee is expected to work independently with data analysis, and effectively communicate results to stakeholders

  • The employee will collaborate across multiple cross-functional product teams, e.g. to identify improvement areas and track progress

Core tasks, activities, projects
  • Help define success metrics in the product domain, aligning with the company's overall business metrics and strategy

  • Analyze player behavior across the game lifecycle: onboarding, engagement, retention, monetization, and social play

  • Partner with multiple product teams to define metrics, frame hypotheses, and evaluate the impact of new features and experiments

  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and self-serve insights in tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Grafana, or similar

  • Champion best practices for event tracking, naming conventions, funnels, cohorts, and experimentation

  • Act as a go-to person for product analytics tooling - driving adoption, education, and consistent usage across teams

  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations that inform product decisions

  • Support Product Managers in running and evaluating A/B tests

Requirements (previous experience)

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science

  • 2+ years of professional experience from data analytics, preferably product analytics at gaming/SaaS or other growth/tech company

  • Experience from working with a modern data stack and leading BI tools (e.g. Looker, PowerBI) and product analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel)

  • Proficiency in SQL (preferably with dbt), Python/R, advanced data modeling, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in data science, machine learning or AI/conversational analytics is an advantage

Requirements (personal traits)

  • Strong problem solver, able to independently and quickly deliver analyses of high quality

  • Self-driven, hard working and reliable, able to plan and prioritize own work as well as collaborate well with others

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business, software development/product management

  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal, in English and/or Swedish and ability to influence stakeholders
