THE ROLE – Finance Manager (growth path to Finance Lead)

We're hiring a Finance Manager to join Anaphora at a pivotal stage in our growth. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you'll be the #2 in Finance, working closely with the CFO to steer how we structure, scale, and operate as a company.

You'll own core financial processes – from monthly close and reporting to forecasting and cost control – while also getting exposure to strategic finance, fundraising, and cross-functional projects across Operations, Legal, and beyond.

Over time, as Anaphora grows, this role is designed to expand. You'll develop into a Finance Lead, taking on additional responsibility from the CFO and running the finance function day to day. It's not a title handed out on day one, but a clear trajectory for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds structure from scratch, and wants to take deep ownership in shaping how Anaphora's finance department scales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations & Controlling

• Own monthly and annual closes in collaboration with external accountants
• Ensure accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Lead cost control and spend follow-up processes across departments
• Maintain a high standard of financial accuracy and compliance through effective controls

Forecasting, Reporting & Analysis

• Partner with the CFO to run rolling forecasts and scenario modeling
• Support forecasting and planning across teams to drive smart decision-making
• Produce insightful analysis on burn, profitability, and business performance
• Translate financial insights into recommendations for product, GTM, and hiring decisions

Fundraising & Strategic Finance

• Support preparation of investor materials, data rooms, and due diligence processes
• Build models and analysis to evaluate growth investments and capital allocation
• Help strengthen financial storytelling and clarity ahead of future funding rounds

Legal, Compliance & Operational Projects

• Drive select legal and tax projects (e.g., entity setup, regulatory filings, transfer pricing)
• Lead or support cross-functional improvement projects – e.g. upgrading internal controls, optimizing HubSpot or CRM processes, or supporting certification efforts
• Collaborate across teams to improve systems and ensure operational excellence

QUALIFICATIONS

• You probably have between 3–6 years in Finance, Controlling, or FP&A roles
• Experience from a scaling or startup-phase company is a must; experience from tech or software environments is a plus
• Proven ability to own the monthly close, manage external accountants, and ensure accurate reporting
• Strong analytical and modeling skills – able to connect financial data to business decisions
• Demonstrated experience driving or supporting forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratch
• Strong communicator and trusted business partner across teams
• Experience supporting fundraising or investor-facing processes is a plus
• Tech-savvy mindset – eager to learn and use new tools to automate and improve workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish a plus)
