Job summary

The Test Manager will lead the testing strategy, planning, and execution for ETL processes and Data Warehouse migration projects. This role ensures data integrity, performance, and compliance during migration from legacy systems to modern platforms, coordinating across teams to deliver a reliable and high-quality data environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead ETL testing efforts for banking systems including customer data, transactions, and risk analytics.
• Define QA goals, KPIs, and test strategies aligned with Agile sprints and release cycles.
• Implement and improve Agile-friendly test processes like continuous testing and shift-left practices.
• Act as a bridge between QA, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Track test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness with actionable insights.
• Design and implement test strategies for ETL data pipelines, and different validation techniques for data and data pipelines. Identify automation possibilities to reduce testing effort and regression time and integration testing efforts.
• Must have hands-on experience in any ETL tool, preferably IDMC (Informatica), etc.
• Must have worked on different phases of testing in the whole project life cycle. (System, UAT, Integration testing, testing during parallel runs and cut over period, reports testing).
• Must have experience in BI reports testing during migration phase. able to identify different test strategies, planning and test cases, and possible automation for report testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, compliance, and IT to align testing with business and regulatory needs.
• Manage synthetic data generation for secure and scalable test environments, Test data management for different environments in Snowflake including UAT, etc.
• Oversee automation frameworks for ETL validation across hybrid infrastructures (on-prem, cloud, big data).
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with banking regulations and data governance policies.

Manager Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall test strategy, planning, scope, and objectives for multiple concurrent projects from Delivery perspective.
• Allocate resources, assign tasks, and manage timelines across testing teams.
• Monitor test progress, defect metrics, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for test-related challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to handle the change management process during the whole migration project.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and automation coverage.
• Facilitate test planning meetings, reviews, and stakeholder reporting.
• Ensure alignment between business requirements, test coverage, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior testers and foster a culture of quality, accountability, and collaboration.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of Snowflake cloud data warehouse architecture and concepts.
• Worked on at least one end to end data warehouse migration project from on-premises to Snowflake, Preferably Teradata to Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of different phases of testing in the whole project life cycle. (System, UAT, Integration testing, testing during parallel runs and cut over period, reports testing).
• Hands-on experience in Snowflake, Teradata, different features on these cloud providers and Data Modelling concepts, etc.
• Hands-on experience in any ETL tool, preferably IDMC (Informatica), etc.
• Knowledge of Snowflake features: Time Travel, Cloning, Micro-partitions, Streams & Tasks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Snowflake integrations.
• Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, window functions, optimization).
• Proficiency in Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automating regular or repeating task.
