Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden Rebl Industries AB Full time

Are you an automation engineer who loves robotics, thrives in hands-on problem solving and wants to help scale the next generation of AI-powered automation?

Join the team that's redefining industrial automation

Rebl Industries builds robotic workmates that companies subscribe to instead of buying. Our robots deploy in weeks, learn continuously and take over repetitive, heavy and precision-demanding tasks. With a unique Robot-as-a-Service model, we make automation flexible, scalable and accessible for businesses that want results without the traditional complexity and investment costs of automation projects. We're a fast-growing, ambitious scale-up working at the intersection of robotics, AI, software and real-world production. Read more about us at

What you will do

As an Automation Engineer at Rebl, you turn cutting-edge technology into reliable automation. You'll build and integrate control systems, tune robot performance, test and validate installations, as well as ensure our solutions run smoothly in demanding operational environments. You'll collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineers – from early concepts to deployment and continuous improvement as systems scale across customer sites.

What we're looking for

  • Post-secondary education in Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field (university degree or vocational/technical school)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automation, mechatronics or similar engineering roles
  • Proven experience designing, implementing and commissioning automation systems in real-world environments
  • Strong PLC programming skills (Siemens TIA Portal preferred) and hands-on control system knowledge
  • Experience integrating sensors, actuators and mechatronic components into cohesive systems
  • Proficiency in Python for automation, data communication, or system integration
  • Familiarity with CAD and simulation tools to support mechanical and system design
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, optimize performance, and ensure reliable operation in production
  • A proactive problem-solving mentality with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward

Your mindset

You're pragmatic, curious and energized by solving real-world automation challenges. You move fluidly between design, implementation and hands-on testing. You take ownership, communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating across disciplines. You thrive in a scaling environment where speed matters, structure evolves and every engineer has real influence. Most importantly, you want to build things that work – in production, at scale, with measurable impact.

Why Rebl Industries

At Rebl Industries, you join a sharp, driven and supportive team where your work has immediate effect. You help define the future of robotic automation — not in theory, but in real industrial use. Your ideas shape both the product and the company as we scale to new markets and new levels of performance.
