Blykalla is seeking an experienced and structured Project Manager with a background in the nuclear industry to take the lead on SEALER-One, our first lead-cooled research reactor. This first-of-a-kind project will pave the way for the commercialization of small modular reactors (SMRs) and mark a major milestone for clean energy innovation in Sweden.

Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden's only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems.

As a Project Manager at SEALER-One, you will play a pivotal role in advancing next-generation nuclear technology from concept to reality. You will lead projects that combine innovation, safety, and collaboration across multiple disciplines, contributing directly to the development of sustainable and secure energy solutions for the future. Your key responsibilities will include:

Lead and coordinate complex SMR and nuclear technology projects from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and safety objectives.

Act as the main point of contact for internal teams, partners, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

Manage risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining compliance with strict technical and safety standards.

Guide and motivate cross-functional teams of engineers, regulatory experts, and supply chain professionals.

Drive continuous improvement in project execution, introducing best practices and optimizing workflows.

Contribute to SEALER-One's strategic roadmap and ensure that each project strengthens our collective expertise and future readiness.

You are an established project manager who thrives in complexity, has an entrepreneurial and agile mindset, and has the ability to move things forward despite challenges while maintaining focus on the end goal.

You bring structure, clarity, and stability where there is ambiguity, and you take full ownership of outcomes measuring your success by the success of your project.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

A degree in science, technology, or engineering.

10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large, complex, capital-intensive industrial or infrastructure projects.

Demonstrated experience leading projects within the nuclear industry.

Experience from product development in large-scale physical industrial projects with multiple suppliers and partners, ideally involving hardware and component development.

Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to inspire teams and build trust with both internal and external stakeholders at every level.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive mindset.

Fluency in English is required; Swedish is a plus.
