Summary:

We're seeking an experienced System Architect with deep expertise in core banking systems and financial services architecture to join a global fintech R&D team. You'll be instrumental in shaping next-generation banking capabilities within a high-performance digital platform serving over half a billion users worldwide.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, product innovation, and business strategy, ideal for someone who thrives on bridging technical excellence with commercial impact in the fintech and banking space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evolve the functional and technical architecture for the banking segment of a global financial platform.
  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and compliant architectural solutions aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive innovation across accounts, payments (SEPA, SWIFT, RTP), loans, deposits, interest calculations, and KYC/AML areas.
  • Provide strategic input on product lifecycle management, including construction, pricing, accounting, and reporting functions.
  • Support system integration for clearing, reconciliation, and settlement processes.
  • Partner with R&D teams, product managers, and business developers to identify architectural gaps and define end-to-end technical strategies.
  • Deliver technical advisory in customer discussions, proposals, and solution presentations.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-oriented language for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a System Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead in core banking or digital banking platforms.
  • Deep understanding of core banking functions and financial process flows (accounts, payments, loans, deposits, reconciliation, settlement).
  • Experience with banking integration standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 20022, SEPA, SWIFT, RTP).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance domains (KYC/AML, PSD2, PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Strong background in customer engagement, stakeholder management, and architectural consultancy.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex topics.
