Outage Project Manager

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Outage Project Manager to join our Nordics Field Service team. The Outage Manager is responsible for the preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of complex planned and emergent outage events for steam turbines and generators in nuclear power plants. This role plays a critical part in driving field fulfillment excellence and supporting business strategy development.

As a key focal point, the Outage Project Manager ensures consistent outage planning and execution, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency. They incorporate best practices and lessons learned to drive operational excellence, while maintaining a keen focus on customer satisfaction. By upholding the highest standards of safety and quality, the Outage Project Manager ensures that projects are completed without accidents or nonconformances, delivering on customer expectations every time.

In addition, the Outage Project Manager holds full responsibility for managing the outage time schedule, ensuring that all projects are completed on time. They are also focused on overseeing budget management, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring that costs are controlled throughout the outage process. The role involves being the primary customer interface on site, facilitating clear communication, addressing any customer concerns, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful delivery of each project

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of complex planned and emergent outage events for steam turbines and generators in nuclear power plants, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
• Ensure consistent outage planning and execution, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency, while incorporating best practices and lessons learned to improve operational performance.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, serving as the primary customer interface on-site, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring clear, ongoing communication throughout the project.
• Take full responsibility for managing outage time schedules, ensuring all projects are completed on time, and adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Oversee budget management, optimizing resource allocation and managing costs to ensure that all outage-related activities stay within budget.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring all work is completed without accidents or nonconformances, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure coordination between various departments to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to schedules.
• Track and monitor project costs, productivity, and performance.
• Facilitate post-outage reviews, ensuring that lessons learned are captured and used to improve future projects.
• Full EHS responsibility at assigned outages.

Required qualifications:

• Technical university degree, Higher Vocational Education, or a minimum of 10 years' experience in steam turbine / generator maintenance.
• Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written)
• Proven project management skills.
