About the Team

Portfolio Management acts as the glue between different functions, sitting at the intersection of transactions, asset management, and strategy. The team plays a key role in setting investment strategies, validating new investment opportunities, maximizing the performance of investments after acquisition, setting the exit strategy, and preparing assets for exit. The Stockholm team, comprising of three professionals, focuses on managing our Swedish portfolio consisting of assets in different real estate sectors. The team collaborates closely with multiple international teams across the organization, notably transaction teams during acquisitions, asset management throughout the holding period, and with other teams whenever needed, e.g. fund management, investor relations, and debt financing.

About the Role

You will join a high-performing team with backgrounds in investments and management consulting. The purpose of the role is to analyse investment and portfolio performance of Urban Partners' Swedish real estate portfolio combined with market analysis to support investment strategy, drive value creation as well as exits across all Urban Partners' funds.

The position's top tasks include:

• Underwrite investments and own of the performance projection of each investment in the portfolio
• Monitor investment performance vs. business plans, identify root causes, and propose actions ahead of those
• Prepare analysis to identify and optimize operational and financial performance, focusing on performance-enhancing actions
• Analyse the overall portfolio performance and potential value drivers
• Develop investment and exit strategy together with team
• Conduct market analysis to drive investment decision making
• Provide insightful performance data and reports to key stakeholders in the organization 
• Prepare materials when needed for decision making or investor reporting purposes

Your Experience and Skills

We seek candidates who are driven, analytical, and excel in critical thinking and communication. We look for:

• About 1-2 years of experience within advisory, corporate finance, real estate investments, management consulting or similar. Real estate experience is not required, but is seen as an advantage
• Good financial modelling skills, and extensive experience with and advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent spoken and written skills in Swedish and English
• Project management skills, including competency in coordinating with people from different teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, with a preference for a Master's level degree, in finance, economics, engineering, real estate, or similar, with strong academic performance
• Excellent skills in English and Swedish, both in spoken and written
