As a
Field Service Engineer
, you will be the crucial link between our innovative vision-guided waterjet portioning systems and our customers in the food processing industry. Your mission is to:

  • Troubleshooting, service and support on all types of equipment within and adjacent to the DSI product line. This work is done both on customer site and remote using phone and internet.
  • Perform pre-installation visits.
  • Lead and perform system installations when applicable.
  • Supervise start-up and Commissioning of the Systems.
  • Perform training for customers operator and maintenance personnel.
  • Submit reports in connection with the installation of new equipment and service activities.
  • Promote service contracts when applicable.

You will frequently travel to customer sites, building strong relationships with clients and collaborating closely with colleagues in sales, engineering, operations, and management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Meet Customer Needs Diagnose trouble and make repairs such as adjustments, parts replacements, timing and synchronization of mechanisms for electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic.
  • Travel and On-Site Support Plan and coordinate customer visits, provide on-site and remote support, and ensure smooth equipment operation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Develop productive working relationships across teams and share insights to continuously improve our solutions.

Your profile

  • Background working with and trobleshooting computer based industrial control equipment in food industry
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to creatively translate customer requirements into practical application
  • Mechanical knowledge of servo axis control, conveying, hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible team player
  • Excellent spoken and written English (additional languages are a plus)
