We are looking for a Hardware Asset Manager to take ownership of the full lifecycle management of IT hardware assets across a large, global organization. In this role, you will ensure visibility, control, compliance, and cost efficiency of all physical IT assets, while working closely with IT, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders. This is a key role within the IT organization, combining governance, process ownership, and operational coordination in a complex and fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets, from procurement and deployment to redeployment, return, and disposal.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date asset inventories across multiple locations and business units.
  • Maintain and develop hardware asset management processes, policies, and standards.
  • Act as system owner or key stakeholder for IT asset management tools / CMDB.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, information security requirements, and sustainability regulations (e- waste, recycling, reuse).
  • Drive cost optimization by reducing unused assets, enabling reuse, and supporting sourcing and procurement decisions.
  • Provide reporting, insights, and decision support to IT management, procurement, and finance.
  • Coordinate with HR and IT operations in onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient logistics and asset handling.

Requirements

  • Experience working with IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Hardware Asset Management in a large organization.
  • Good understanding of IT hardware lifecycles, procurement flows, and operational processes.
  • Experience working with asset management systems, ITSM tools, or CMDB platforms.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership, while collaborating across functions.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Desired Skills

  • Experience from global or multi-company environments.
  • Background in IT operations, digital workplace, or enterprise IT governance.
  • Experience working with sustainability or circular IT initiatives.
  • Understanding of financial models such as leasing vs. purchasing.
  • Experience working in R&D-heavy or technology-driven organizations.
