About the position

During recent years, SSAB has developed a strong learning concept to secure the right competences and skills for our transformation to fossil-free steelmaking, digitalization and other future business needs. While we have built a solid foundation, there is still much more to develop.

As the Learning and Development Specialist at Group HR, you will lead and be part of implementing SSABs Center of Expertise (CoE) for Learning and Development, being responsible for overseeing and optimizing SSABs global L&D processes and framework and governance while enabling collaboration across HR and business stakeholders.

The L&D Specialist also supports the design and coordination of learning activities for Group Functions as well coordinate and ensures that SSABs global leadership development portfolio is implemented effectively across the company.

While this role does not include direct team leadership, you will collaborate closely with SSAB's top Learning & Development experts across our business. Together, you'll co-create and shape the future of L&D ways of working, leveraging collective expertise and driving impactful initiatives.

Main responsibilities

Own the Learning and Development process and drive continuous improvement.

Facilitate collaboration forums to promote alignment, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement among stakeholders company-wide.

Define KPIs and monitor key Learning metrics and, in partnership with HR Tech, establish and maintain reporting structures and dashboards for tracking impact and efficiency of L&D initiatives, trend analysis, and actionable insights.

Act as the Learning and Development Partner for Group Functions, aligning training needs with global processes together with HRBP's and line management.

Coordinate learning solutions and programs for functional and strategic development needs

Coordinate SSAB's global leadership development portfolio and toolbox, ensuring consistency, scalability, and impact across all leadership levels.

About You

Extensive experience in Learning & Development processes, governance, and frameworks, ideally in global, decentralized environments.

Relevant university degree (e.g., business, HR, finance).

Proven expertise in designing and implementing leadership and development programs.

5+ years in Learning Technology and Experience, including LMS and e-learning platforms (CSOD experience is a plus).

Experience in building and developing a Center of Excellence for L&D in collaboration with stakeholders.

Strong project management and ability to drive initiatives without direct resource ownership.

Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and networking skills.

Excellent communication skills in Swedish or Finnish and English.
