Calibration Engineer – Combustion Engine Testing

We are looking for a Development Engineer with a strong interest in
testing, calibration, and optimization of internal combustion engines
. You should bring solid knowledge of combustion theory, engine control strategies, and hands-on experience in engine development.

About The Team
Our Marine and Industrial Development & Calibration group is responsible for testing and optimizing both hardware and software related to performance, emissions, and durability of industrial combustion engines.

You will join a highly competent team working at our engine test facilities, contributing directly to the development of next-generation engines. Occasional travel may be required to support customers or project activities at other locations.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will work across a wide range of engine testing and calibration activities, including:

Preparing test objects and performing engine performance tests.

Executing advanced software calibration of engines and aftertreatment systems.

Reading and interpreting control system functional descriptions.

Using tools such as
AVL Concerto, ATI Vision, Python
, and internal development platforms.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engine systems.

Providing technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.

Preparing detailed test reports, calibration documentation, and validation summaries.

Presenting results and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements
Master's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.

Several years of experience in combustion engine development.

Strong background in engine calibration.

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Valid driver's license (car).
