About the company
The hiring company, an organization that recently secured NOK45,000,000 in Series A funding from SteenCo in February 2023, is actively seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a critical executive role in their ambitious mission. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this dynamic position necessitates a forward-thinking and technically adept individual with a profound understanding of coding, software development, artificial intelligence (AI), and the intricacies of scaling up.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Stockholm Office Expansion: The CTO shall assume the responsibility of assembling and leading a highly skilled team located in Stockholm. This team will comprise 16 developers, 6 designers, and additional support personnel. A primary focus will be on fostering sustainable and high-performing teams while spearheading the growth and development of the Stockholm office.
2. Product Development: Oversight of the continual evolution of the company's educational offerings, working in tandem with the Head of Product to ensure the development of engaging problem-solving games and a state-of-the-art 3D avatar system. Emphasizing gamification techniques will be pivotal to enhancing user engagement and optimizing learning outcomes.
3. Technology Strategy: The CTO will craft and execute a comprehensive technology strategy, aligning it meticulously with the company's overarching objectives. This includes staying abreast of the latest trends in coding, AI, and gamification, and adeptly integrating these insights into the company's product roadmap.
4. Scaling Expertise: Drawing upon prior experience, the CTO shall play a pivotal role in the scaling of the company's technology infrastructure and operations, ensuring their capacity to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding user base.
5. Partnerships and Collaborations: Collaborating extensively with external partners, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to drive innovation and maintain the company's offerings at the vanguard of gamified technology.
6. Quality Assurance: Maintaining exacting standards of quality in software development and ensuring the resilience and robustness of the company's digital products.
7. Financial Oversight: Collaborating closely with the Financial Supervisor to prudently allocate resources and make judicious decisions concerning technology investments.
8. Continuous Improvement: Continually evaluating and refining the product to enhance user experiences and elevate learning outcomes.
