Scope: Two students completing a master thesis, 30 hp each.  

Background 

At Axis New Business Audio, we develop audio products for security such as horn, ceiling and cabinet speakers driven by Power over ethernet (PoE). Lately we launched the Axis C1710 Network Display Speaker. With this thesis we now want to investigate how a next generation display speaker product could look like. 

Goal 

The aim of this master thesis is to generate a concept design of a next generation network display speaker. The thesis aims to broadly research and explore how such a speaker can be designed, generate concepts, and narrow down the alternatives to a final concept suggestion.  

The project will explore how the future display speaker would look like if a new speaker driver and display were chosen, or will it even have a display at all? The speaker should be designed with aspects such as green design and audio performance in mind. 

Educational background 

Master's students with a large interest in developing their skills within concept development, CAD and Audio design.  

Mechanical Engineering with Technical Design, Mechanical Engineering.
