The role
As a Product Manager for markets, you will lead our international expansion efforts and ensure perfect market fit across new and existing geographies for our expense management platform. This role is critical to our growth, and you will take full ownership of our international product success by translating complex global regulatory requirements into seamless, market-leading product experiences. What you will do

Systematically explore and validate new markets, defining the tactics and prioritization required for successful launch and adoption.

Roll up your sleeves and lead the product discovery process. This requires intense field research and strategic international travel. You will dive deep into local operational realities, partnering with accounting firms to understand market mechanics, business processes, and fully grasp the complexities of the local ecosystem.

Translate findings - such as local regulations, tax authority rules, reporting best practices, and regional nuances - into clear, comprehensive, and actionable product requirements for the Engineering team to implement and take the solution to market.

Serve as our foremost internal expert on global expense reporting, ensuring the product achieves and maintains full compliance and perfect market fit. You are the definitive voice that safeguards our product's standing in every market.

Define and document the specific requirements related to market compliance, digital receipt availability, physical receipt handling processes, and data retention standards in target markets. Research and specify requirements for local card support infrastructure and integration with mandatory national financial systems or governmental reporting portals.

Meticulously define the core specifications that drive our product's local success. This responsibility spans everything from market compliance requirements and mandatory digital/physical receipt handling processes to local data retention standards. Crucially, you will also research the essential integrations with mandatory financial systems.

Continuously monitor and iterate on the product experience in existing markets to ensure ongoing competitiveness, regulatory adherence, and sustained market fit.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Product Manager, Market Analyst, or a similar role, ideally within Fintech or a highly regulated industry.

Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on, qualitative, and quantitative market research, including interviews and on-site visits.

If you have knowledge of financial regulations, accounting or compliance requirements related to business financial reporting, we see it as a bonus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex legal/regulatory requirements into simple, prioritized product stories.

Cross-functional collaboration experience with marketing and sales teams to provide deep product and market expertise, enabling effective positioning and messaging tailored to market needs.

Experience in defining, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators related to market fit and user adoption.
