About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at AB Volvo, where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with our development team to oversee and facilitate code releases or deployments with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify repetitive tasks that slow down releases and support the automation of these tasks.
  • Drive continuous improvement by structuring and optimizing release cycles and introducing new ways to move the process along.
  • Monitor the production environment and provide feedback to reduce 'time to detect' (TTD) and 'time to minimize' (TTM) errors.
  • Drive and implement DevOps best practices using Automation tools, Source Code Control, Containerization, Configuration Management tools, Repository Management Software, and Project Management tools.
  • Implement a security-focused DevOps (DevSecOps) practice to include security as part of regular work with the automation of key processes, release schedules, and infrastructure design.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Ensure the setup of proper processes and tools for tracking change requests for integrated platforms and solutions.
  • Forward plan release windows and cycles across the business engine platform portfolio.
  • Manage risk and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third-party applications, or operating system updates.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Produce Deployment, Run Books, and Implementation Plans.
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required.
  • Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyze their application to current configuration management needs.
About the Team

You will report directly to the AB Volvo Global D&IT Software Engineering Chapter Lead. Our team is dedicated to transforming the world we live in by providing innovative financial services and solutions that meet the needs of our customers' evolving business.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of working experience preferably in the change and release management area or project management area.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Ansible, MS Azure Bicep, etc.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications a plus.
  • Structured thinking.
  • Pragmatic and resilient mindset.
  • Experience managing scalable and high-performance services.
  • Strong communication skills to work with global multicultural teams, English required.
  • Expert in understanding software development lifecycle.
  • Automotive and/or financial banking industry experience preferred.
