We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mobile Packet Core Architect to join our team at Telia Company AB. Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Development of Mobile Packet Core Platform: You will be responsible for leading the development of our Mobile Packet Core platform, including Enterprise Mobile Networks in a multi-country environment.
  2. Life Cycle Management of EPC/5G Core Network Functions: You will be responsible for the life cycle management of EPC/5G Core network functions, including Policy Control Functions in a Telco cloud environment.
  3. Transformational Journey towards Cloud Native Mobile Packet Core: You will play an integral role in our transformational journey towards a fully cloud native Mobile Packet Core platform.
  4. Improvement of Tools and Ecosystem: You will always be thinking out of the box and looking for improvements related to tools and ecosystem regarding continuous development, continuous testing, and continuous deployment frameworks.
  5. Product Owner and Production Manager: You will act as a Product Owner and Production Manager for Mobile Packet Core platform in SAFE/Agile setup.
  6. Technical Lead: You will be the technical lead towards Mobile Packet Core vendors and drive mid-long term technical requirements and needs.
Requirements
  1. University Degree in IT or Relevant Field: You must have a university degree in IT, information systems, network engineering, or a relevant area.
  2. Solution Architect/Network Engineer Experience: You must have experience as a Solution Architect/Network Engineer with expertise on Telco Solutions, including Telco Cloud, Mobile Core Networks, and OSS/BSS, leading end-end Solution Design and Delivery with in-depth understanding of various Network Functions.
  3. Practical Experience with Planning, Development, and Operations: You must have practical experience with planning, development, and operations for Enterprise Mobile Networks.
  4. Experience with Cloud Transformation and Automation: You must have experience in working across various roles across multiple domains with both B2B, B2C, B2O network services primarily focusing Solution Design, Operational Efficiency, Cloud Transformation, and Automation for Mobile Packet Core.
  5. Leading 5G SA Core Projects: You must have experience in leading and supporting various 5G SA core projects and use cases with a focus on E2E Orchestration and Services Automation, including Slicing and Edge use cases.
  6. Hands-on Experience with Packet Core and Policy Control Functions: You must have hands-on experience with development and operational experience on working with Packet Core and Policy Control functions (Both Virtualized Network Functions and Cloud Native Network Functions).
  7. Fluent English Skills: You must have fluent English skills both spoken and written.
Technical Skills
  1. 5G SA/Overlay Core Network Architectures: You must be well-versed with 5G SA/Overlay Core Network Architectures, including SMF, NRF, UPF, AMF, PCF, UDM, AUSF, NEF, and cloud native transformation.
  2. Design and Implementation of 4G/5G Network Functions: You must be well-versed with the design and implementation of 4G/5G network functions (VNFs/CNFs).
  3. Automation, Orchestration, DevSecOps, and Agile Delivery Models: You must have experience with automation, orchestration, DevSecOps, and Agile delivery models.
  4. Dimensioning and Traffic Migration Strategy: You must have experience with dimensioning and traffic migration strategy.
  5. Experience with Generic VNF Managers, Containers-as-a-Service, and Telco Cloud Orchestration Tools: You must have experience with generic VNF managers, containers-as-a-service, and telco cloud orchestration tools.
  6. Familiarity with NFVI and Cloud Native Network Functions: You must have familiarity with NFVI and cloud native network functions.
  7. Familiarity with Principles of Software as a Service (SaaS), Network Services Exposure, DPDK, and ML/AI: Familiarity with principles of Software as a Service (SaaS), Network Services Exposure, DPDK, and ML/AI will be a major plus.
