About the Role

We are in search of a skilled and client-focused individual to take on the role of Consultant at SS&C Advent.

In this capacity, you will assist our clients throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific in refining their business operations by implementing and advising on technological solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency and minimizing operational risks.

As a Consultant, your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with clients to deploy and sustain our technological solutions within their operational environments. Typical duties will involve workflow analysis, defining business requirements, configuring systems, converting data, specifying custom deliverables, conducting system testing, providing user training, and maintaining client communication. You will also offer recommendations for potential improvements to clients' technological frameworks and processes. Given the diverse geographical locations of our clients, this position is well-suited for candidates who are adaptable to travel and enjoy experiencing various cultures and business practices worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality business and technical consulting services as part of implementation initiatives.
  • Act as the dedicated Implementation Consultant, owning specific deliverables within projects or managing the complete delivery of a project, depending on its size and complexity.
  • Engage with clients to comprehend their business and requirements, then design and implement new or enhanced business workflows utilizing the SS&C Advent technology suite.
  • Deliver tailored user training on SS&C Advent's systems and business methodologies.
  • Assess the technology and integration landscape of clients, providing evaluations and recommendations for enhancements.
  • Configure SS&C Advent systems according to established specifications and client needs, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring clear expectations are set throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in senior strategic and service review meetings with clients as necessary.
  • Ensure all services are delivered to the highest standards, fostering client satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, addressing any service-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, working across regions to continually enhance client service and support.
  • Partner with our technology team and other service groups on projects to develop or modify solutions that meet client needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong business acumen in the investment management sector.
  • Relevant professional experience in consulting, asset management, or financial software.
  • Proficient IT/technical skills (MS Windows, MS SQL, MS IIS, integration tools, reporting tools, scheduling, networks, and databases).
  • Solid understanding and experience with financial instruments (stocks, bonds, funds, derivatives, private equity).
  • Postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with SS&C Advent systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A positive, client-oriented, team-focused, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for learning and knowledge acquisition.
  • Effective and efficient research skills.
