Job Summary:
The Account Manager - Sales Development will be responsible for driving business growth and achieving sales targets through strategic sales development and field marketing programs for the PerkinElmer Applied (Analytical) portfolio in Sweden.
The current well-established customer base is a mix of large pharmaceutical clients, industrial companies, and academia, offering opportunities for expansion of market share.
We are seeking applications from experienced sales professionals and analytical laboratory scientists looking for a career change into sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compete for all Applied (Analytical) sales opportunities throughout the territory.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Constantly attempt to secure business in new accounts and follow customer account receivables.
- Provide accurate monthly forecasting, updates, and next steps within SFDC on a weekly basis, as well as timely, accurate, and competitive pricing to customers, and submit internal approvals.
- Attend seminars, exhibitions, and demonstrations to promote business.
- Maintain knowledge of PerkinElmer products, as well as knowledge of competitors' products, prepare, document, and update PerkinElmer presentation aids accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, preferably in Chemistry (a strong background in chromatography would be useful).
- Strong experience within the analytical society with a solid network in accounts within environmental, food, chemistry, and material science.
- High integrity standards.
- Results-driven, energetic, effective, self-starter with a strong motivation for sales or a lab scientist with experience as a user of analytical instrumentation looking to make a change in career.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to excel in an international sales environment.
- Active agent for team motivation.
- Independent, with good organizational and team working skills, driving you to continuously seek new opportunities.
- Flexible, able to communicate with colleagues and customers, willingness to travel across Sweden and occasionally across Europe.
- Desire to learn, grow, and take the lead in a sales role within a fast-paced matrix organization.
- Willingness to travel is essential (50%+).
