Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality backend systems using Scala, Java, or Play Framework.
  • Work with microservices architecture and patterns to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and solve complex technical problems.
  • Develop and maintain a framework for rapid prototyping and testing.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with Scala, Java, or Play Framework.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, patterns, and relational and non-relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of backend development for mobile apps.
  • Interest in latest technologies and proactive in tinkering with them.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with functional programming languages (Haskell, Erlang, Clojure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Mongo, etc), relational databases.
  • Experience with event-driven systems, stream processing, and Akka.
  • Pure functional programming and libraries such as Cats, Scalaz.
  • Kubernetes, Continuous Delivery, and distributed systems.
  • Shipping your own side/hobby project(s) end-to-end.
