Senior Flutter Backend Developer

The Point of Sale (POS) team at Wolt is seeking a highly skilled Senior Flutter Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-availability systems that power our POS solution for merchants.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain backend services for the new POS system, ensuring scalability and seamless integration with other core services.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features, driving innovation and establishing best practices for the team.
- Navigate technical challenges associated with building a system at scale, contributing to architectural decisions and being responsible for the overall system design.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Experience in multiple technologies such as Flutter, Kotlin, and Golang.
- Experience with AWS/GCP for cloud computing and deployments.
- Expertise in high-availability systems and ensuring system reliability.
- Strong system design skills and experience operating at scale.
- A demonstrated track record of working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions with a high degree of autonomy, and handle ambiguity effectively.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to the US for potential team meetings and collaboration.
- Experience working in start-up environments or with early-stage product development.
The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person. The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
