Job DescriptionThe Continental Material Planner will be responsible for a portfolio of suppliers delivering to central warehouses in Gent and Lyon. This role requires strong supplier management skills, as well as expertise in backorder handling and escalation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a passion for data analysis and business intelligence tools. Excellent English language skills are essential, as this is the primary language used in the team and when collaborating with colleagues and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of suppliers delivering to central warehouses in Gent and Lyon
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of products
- Handle backorders and escalate issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including demand and inventory planning teams, to optimize material planning processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools, such as QlikView or Power BI
- University degree in a relevant field
