About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Non-Functional Test Engineer to join our Sanctions Technology team at Nordea Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving and managing non-functional testing in IT initiatives, ensuring the highest quality of our financial crime prevention technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve the non-functional test process within our continuous delivery environment.
  • Conduct performance tests for features and applications based on non-functional requirements.
  • Create test scripts, test scenarios, execute tests, and analyze test reports.
  • Work closely with Testing, Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Ensure prerequisites like test data and environments are achieved before each test cycle.
  • Communicate test results on a timely basis with all stakeholders and defect reporting.
  • Support implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for test libraries.
  • Identify and implement improvements for day-to-day tasks and challenges.

  • Technical strength and passion for modern technologies.
  • Eager to learn and comfortable with delivering a variety of tasks in an evolving and changing environment.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of structure, flexibility, planning, and prioritization skills, and deliver in a timely manner with focus on quality.
  • Familiar with working in a complex environment with multiple streams across multiple internal organizations, with people from different cultures and companies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Good hands-on experience in performance testing using JMeter/Load Runner.
  • Experience in load testing JMS messaging systems - IBM MQ.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and Linux commands and queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Putty, Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced working agile according to SAFe.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.

Our Technology Stack

We mainly use JMeter and LoadRunner as load testing tools, with a focus on moving towards open-source frameworks like JMeter. Our technical stack includes Java, JBoss, Oracle, MQ, file shares, SFTP, and Linux.
