Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Indirect Tax Expert to join our Tax Services team in Mannheim, Germany. As a key member of our global organization, you will be responsible for performing indirect tax-related activities with a focus on accurate and timely reporting and payments for applicable legal entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Indirect Tax Reporting: Prepare, validate, and submit all indirect tax reporting filings and requirements for applicable legal entities, maintaining accurate records and information.
  • VAT Management: Manage corrections, payments, and refunds, as well as reconcile VAT accounts.
  • Tax Support: Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to provide input and requested information/data, participate in tax audits, and contribute to relevant projects.
  • First Point of Contact: Respond to queries related to indirect tax via tickets or from AP, AR, or tax authorities, escalating issues as needed.
  • Training and Development: Conduct relevant tax training for AP and AR teams, in cooperation with the indirect tax reporting manager and business partner, and ensure processes are followed.
Requirements
  • University Degree: In tax, economics, or business, or equivalent with relevant practice experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience within indirect tax and knowledge of indirect tax reporting, especially in the DACH region.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills, structured work approach, flexibility, and openness to change.
  • Software Knowledge: SAP, Microsoft Office, and financial reporting systems.
  • Language Skills: Strong English language skills (German language skills are a plus) and ability to travel when circumstances allow.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of €70,000 - €90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, above tariff level compensation, bonus, pension schemes, anniversary bonus, child allowances, Corporate Benefits & other employee benefits, factory outlet, and free give-aways.

About the Role

This role reports to the Indirect Tax Reporting Manager based in Lisbon, Portugal, and will be located in Mannheim, Germany, or alternatively Lisbon, Portugal, or Gothenburg, Sweden.
