The Automation and Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning and directing overall automation and engineering activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing effective management of subordinates to achieve desired results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to optimize production processes and increase efficiency.
  • Lead a team of automation and project engineers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex technical problems.
  • Design and oversee the installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Lead and manage automation and engineering projects to ensure on-time delivery of comprehensive and accurate installation specifications, equipment, and material requirements.
  • Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures to improve project efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to other departments as required.
  • Manage and motivate subordinates to achieve desired results and provide performance feedback to employees.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems, discrepancies, and investigations of non-conformance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and qualification and validation approaches.
  • Set business metrics for the team and provide evaluative input on individual work efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to implement Industry 4.0 solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in automation and engineering.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with PLC programming and control systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Project management experience with control of information flows, manage/control budgets, and follow-up planning.
  • Working knowledge and experience of implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Equipment installation and computer proficiency (MS words, excel, PowerPoint).
  • Mindset for targeting long-term objectives while reaching short-term results.
  • FPX, Six Sigma, Lean training.
