Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at Ingka. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions to support our consumers across Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, run, monitor, and support software for assigned products or services using the right toolsets required and applying Ingka Software Security Directives, in order to deliver according to requirements and compliance.
Synchronise software design and architecture by aligning with stakeholders in order to ensure expected outcomes.
Oversee the various products or services being developed, within the area, including code-reviews to ensure technical feasibility and that solutions are optimised for speed, scalability, and reusability.
Requirements
A formal qualification in computer science or any engineering equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of experience as a software engineer with a similar level of experience in the assigned tech stack.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in agile/iterative software development teams with a DevOps working set-up and with an emphasis on self-organisation and delivery to agreed commitments.
Demonstrable experience with cloud computing environments.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
A strong interest in learning about the IKEA Brand, culture, values, and way of working.
About the Team
Our tech stack consists of (but not limited to):
Our mindset for design and process includes ETL, API 1st mindset, REST API design, and event-based architecture.
Building, deploying cloud-based serverless applications and services using Node.js & Typescript.
Strong understanding of SOLID principles, coding standards, and design patterns.
We use Infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform, for provisioning and managing GCP resources.
SQL/NoSql storage are being used to create data hubs that will promote data democratisation across Ingka, including BigQuery.
Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with GitHub Actions for automating build, test, and deployment processes.
We try to use Trunk-Based development principles and work in agile software development environments (using Jira).
May have exposure for front-end where we use ReactJS among others for homegrown solutions.
