Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team at Biotage in Uppsala, Sweden. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative mechanical solutions for new and current products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for our instruments
  • Create manufacturing documentation for designed parts and assemblies
  • Conduct technical investigations and testing for new projects and troubleshoot existing products
  • Translate technical requirements into mechanical designs for part development
  • Evaluate product compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Replace discontinued mechanical parts in existing products
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Proficiency in CAD and simulation software, preferably PTC Creo
  • Experience in developing mechanisms, mechatronic systems, and solid designs suitable for various applications
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly principles
  • Hands-on experience with workshops and measuring instruments
