Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of low and medium-voltage cables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical support to all activities of Medium and Low voltage cable manufacturing.
  • Tools design and production lines set-up sheets for the whole production process with main responsibility on one specific area.
  • Preparation of work instructions (SOPs) for operators.
  • Preventing and solving quality problems in the plant.
  • Be responsible as project leader or support for new lines investment, commissioning, prototype production, and the technological approval phases during the start-up of new production processes.
  • Creation of mechanical drawings for tools, equipment, etc. but also for layout development in the plant.
  • Visualize and measure the performance of the machines in your specific area.
  • Improvement projects to develop output, efficiency, and quality in the responsibility areas.
  • Safety improvements to support Prysmian Zero and Beyond Safety program.
  • Be in close contact with colleagues in the other plants within Prysmian to share and develop existing processes.
  • Lead and coordinate Lean projects (LSS, SMED, Kaizen) around the organization to drive short- and long-term business improvements.

Requirements:

  • Technical/Engineering BSc/MSc degree or equivalent
  • Competence in mechanical drawing software like CAD or AutoCAD
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (both spoken and written)
  • A great "can-do" attitude
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project leader experience
  • Advanced competence in Excel
  • Knowledge of Lean methods - Six Sigma
  • Proactive working style and a habit of going beyond expectations
  • A strong team spirit, result-driven and self-motivated mindset
