Job Title: Product Compliance Specialist

About Us:

IKEA of Sweden, located in Älmhult, develops and makes available its products to stores and customers worldwide.

We are looking for a Product Compliance Specialist to join our Development Team in Range Area Lighting and Home Electronics. In this role, you will lead product compliance work across product lifecycles, working with both new and existing range products.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the development team's products for legal compliance in all markets throughout their lifecycle, including testing, verification, and updating technical product documentation.
  • Lead the approval/certification process for the Development team.
  • Stay up-to-date on specifications, test methods, and changes in legislation and external requirements that impact product compliance.
  • Communicate technical requirements to stakeholders during development phases.
  • Capture knowledge and share learnings connected to requirements.
  • IDentify compliance gaps in product development and provide input to action plans.
Requirements:
  • You have a University Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical) and 2+ years of experience in product development and/or creating and documenting product requirements.
  • Experience with Lighting & Home Electronics products.
  • Proficiency in PLM, preferably PTC Windchill.
  • Able to work analytically, take the lead in your work, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust-based relationships.
  • Passion for sharing knowledge and explaining complex matters simply.
  • Experience with electrical product approvals and good understanding of product compliance (CB, CE, EMC, etc.).
