About the job

With this position you will be part of the Compliance function in the Business Unit High-Speed Separators which supports the whole business around the separator, from Design, Source, Make to Deliver. As a Product Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet all relevant regulatory and safety standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess, document, and implement compliance measures, helping to uphold our commitment to product quality and safety.

Keys responsibilities will include:

  1. Monitor and stay updated on regulations, directives and standards related to our products. Identify and present regulatory obligations. Evaluate impact and recommended actions for information and decision-making purposes.
  2. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies for mitigation.
  3. Support with technical compliance expertise and guidance in product development projects as well as other change projects.
  4. Create and maintain internal compliance processes and guidelines.
  5. Collaborate with product development and quality assurance teams to integrate compliance into the product development process.
  6. Participate in external industry groups and technical committees representing Alfa Laval BU HSS.
  7. Provide training and guidance on compliance-related matters.

What you know

In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  1. An academic background within Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree with relevant specialization).
  2. Experience in working with product safety and/or compliance related activities in an industrial company or related field (e.g. R&D or Quality).
  3. Knowledge within product regulations, CE marking as minimum and 3rd party approvals in compliance areas of machinery safety.
  4. Experience from international and/or national standardization and working with product standards as part of product development is preferable.
  5. Experience with risk assessment.
  6. Organizational skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  7. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, alongside project management skills.
