TN Sweden is seeking a highly experienced Global Trade Manager to join our team.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for driving trade compliance and optimizing trade-related business operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and Enforce Trade Compliance Framework: Develop and implement a comprehensive trade compliance framework across the organization.
- Provide Trade Compliance Guidance and Advice: Offer expert guidance and advice on trade compliance matters to various stakeholders.
- Manage and Develop Country Trade Compliance Officers: Recruit, train, develop, and support Country Trade Compliance Officers (CTCOs) in their roles.
- Engage with Stakeholders and Provide Regular Updates: Keep senior leadership, the Global Trade team, European CTCOs, Business Units, and other stakeholders informed about trade-related matters.
- Lead Export Controls Steering Group: Co-lead or lead the global Export Controls Steering Group or Sanctions Steering Group, providing strategic guidance and expertise.
- Analyze and Enhance Trade Policies and Procedures: Conduct regular reviews and enhancements of trade policies and procedures to ensure optimal compliance and efficiency.
- Design and Deliver Training Programs: Develop and deliver training programs to equip stakeholders with trade-related knowledge and skills.
- Capture Duty Savings Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on duty savings opportunities to optimize business performance.
- Support Global Trade Tool Implementation: Assist in the implementation, use, and continuous improvement of global trade-related tools (such as SAP GTS) and automation.
- Ensure Timely and Accurate KPI Reporting: Oversee monthly KPI reporting, issue reporting, annual risk assessments, and other trade-related reporting, implementing corrective and risk mitigation measures.
- Collaborate on Trade Audits: Work with internal and external teams to support trade audits and ensure compliance.
About You:
- Education: Degree in trade, law, economics, international relations, or other trade-related fields.
- Preferred Qualification: Legal qualification or background.
- Work Experience: At least 10 years of experience in export controls, sanctions and customs compliance, supply chain compliance, and supply chain optimization in an in-house setting.
- Specialist Knowledge: Expertise in export controls and/or sanctions.
- Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English language; additional European languages are a plus.
- Location: Based in Switzerland or the EU.
