About This Job

We're looking for a seasoned Security Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our small team of technical and domain security subject matter experts, you'll identify and incubate emerging security use cases and solutions that stay ahead of customer, market, and technology trends.

You'll work closely with theater partners but report up through the Global organization. Your primary focus will be on driving adoption and success metrics for emerging security use cases and solutions for your assigned theater and region, while also fulfilling global responsibilities to help evangelize and advance the Splunk Security brand, product, and GTM strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Emerging Security Use Cases: Develop and refine security use cases that reflect priority customer challenges, market trends, and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Content Creation: Design and test new maturity models, white papers, programs, workshops, demos, POVs, enablement content, and thought leadership content to showcase and accelerate adoption of emerging information security use cases and solutions.
  • Security Branding: Represent Splunk Security as a security GTM stakeholder in product roadmap, launch planning, customer initiative development, and strategic growth areas.
  • Industry Outreach: Showcase and promote Splunk Security vision, strategy, and roadmap at industry events and with global customers and partners.
  • Talent Mentoring: Mentor security talent within the team and across the SE and Solution Architect community to increase the profile of security at Splunk.
  • Regional Localization: Partner with regional teams to localize global content and strategy for region-specific sales plays, enablement content, account targeting strategies, and channel strategies.

Requirements

  • Security Expertise: 7+ years of technical sales, product, or practitioner experience in the security industry.
  • Modern Security Technologies: Familiarity with modern security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA, and their place in organizational architecture.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, comfortable presenting publicly to large audiences or one-on-one with senior executives.
  • Complex Sales Cycles: Experience driving complex security sales cycles across EMEA.
  • Current Threats: Demonstrated knowledge of current threats, high-visibility security events, and trends in the marketplace.
  • Security Data Sources: Familiarity with current security data sources spanning on-premises, hybrid, & multi-cloud environments.
  • Industry Frameworks: Familiarity with common industry frameworks and concepts like MITRE ATT&CK, CSC CIS, LMKC, OTel, DORA, etc.
  • Travel and Work Environment: Willingness to travel for industry and marketing events, customer meetings, and work comfortably in a globally-dispersed remote organization.
