Job Summary

Role/Responsibilities

As a Power System Analyst at EPRI Europe DAC, you will be part of a renowned team of experts in the field of power system analysis and energy modeling. Your key responsibilities will include sourcing and preparing datasets, building and extending resource adequacy and resilience models, and conducting adequacy analyses to address research questions related to the electric sector, interconnection, and economy-wide decarbonization in various regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain resource adequacy and resilience models using industry-standard software.
  • Conduct adequacy analyses to support research questions related to the electric sector, interconnection, and economy-wide decarbonization.
  • Prepare and present research findings to a variety of audiences, including technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to develop and implement new research projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of power system analysis and energy modeling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, operations research, energy resources, economics, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with building and running energy sector simulation or optimization models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
