At Örebro University, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled doctoral student to join our research team in the School of Medical Sciences. As a doctoral student in Biomedicine, you will contribute to cutting-edge research on the individual interplay between dietary fibers and the gut ecosystem in relation to IBS.

The Role

You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to investigate the effects of dietary fibers on the gut microbiome and host physiology. You will also assist in supervising laboratory staff and collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Our research focuses on developing internationally leading validated methods and models to assess the benefits of food and dietary supplements for gut, metabolic, and mental health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advancing our understanding of the complex relationships between diet, gut health, and disease.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a biomedical field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, molecular biology)
  • Practical experience in laboratory work and experimental design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with intestinal microbiol interventional studies
