Job Description

The PhD project is part of a recently granted 4-year EU project on the individual interplay between dietary fibers and the gut ecosystem in relation to IBS.

Project Overview

The PhD position is located at the School of Medical Sciences (MV) within Örebro University, a modern and expanding university with approximately 1,600 employees and 17,000 students, known for its prominent research activities. MV also hosts the university's medical program and contains several strong research centers primarily focused on inflammation, metabolism, and nutrition.

Research Centre

The Responsive Nutrition research centre focuses on internationally leading validated methods and models to assess the benefits of food and dietary supplements for gut, metabolic, and mental health, and to determine who benefits from specific dietary changes throughout the lifespan.

Supervision

The PhD student will be supervised by Associate Professor Ignacio Rangel (principal supervisor), Professor Robert Brummer (assistant supervisor), and others.
