Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to join our team at EQT Group. As a Lead AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building AI-powered workflows to enhance developers' productivity, thereby delivering and supporting strategic goals and having a lasting impact at EQT.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Fullstack Engineers, Backend Engineers, Data Engineers, UI and UX Designers, and Business Stakeholders, to take the Motherbrain AI platform to the next level and leverage AI as a core part of EQT's strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop AI-Powered Workflows: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our AI platform, ensuring its high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features of the platform.
  • Leverage LLM APIs and Tools: Leverage Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLMOps, Agent Frameworks, and related concepts to build cutting-edge AI systems.
  • Manage Applications in GCP: Manage applications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Ensure Seamless Deployment: Work with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tools to ensure seamless deployment, traceability, and scalability.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to keep our platform at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Ensure Ethical Guidelines: Ensure AI solutions adhere to ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in AI, machine learning, and software engineering, with a proven track record of deploying AI solutions in a production environment, is required.

Technical Skills

  • Technical Leadership: Drive technological decision-making and build relationships with stakeholders and other tech teams.
  • Strong Proficiency in Python: Strong proficiency in writing production-grade Python software.
  • Data Structures and Algorithms: Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns for software and AI engineering.
  • Cloud Platforms and Containerization: Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Version Control and Software Development Methodologies: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Backend and Frontend Integration: Understanding of FastAPI, REST, GraphQL, React, and other tools used for backend and frontend integration.
  • Solid Understanding of Security and Privacy Best Practices: Solid understanding of security and privacy best practices when working with sensitive or proprietary data in AI systems.
  • Database Technologies and Data Transformation Pipelines: Experience with database technologies and data transformation pipelines (e.g., dbt, BigQuery, ElasticSearch, Redis, PostgreSQL).
