About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading all engineering activities, both in-house and outsourced, during the proposal, design, and construction stages of our FACTS projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead all engineering activities, including proposal development, design, and construction, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Act as the primary technical interface with customers, suppliers, R&D, and local units to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Support proposal efforts by introducing innovative solutions, cost-saving ideas, and value-added concepts to enhance the overall system design.
  • Ensure that all activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively according to contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team to successfully execute projects, adhering to project schedules, costs, and contracts.

Your Background

  • You hold a Master of Science degree or equivalent competence gained through working experience.
  • At least five years of professional experience in the power system business.
  • Documented experience in leading and coordinating engineering teams in a global environment.
  • Good understanding of power quality applications, STATCOM, SVC, and FSC.
  • Experience from executing complex delivery projects.
