Job Description:

As a Lab Technician - Manufacturing Specialist at TN Sweden, you will contribute to the development, testing, and evaluation of new and innovative machinery equipment and prototypes. Your primary responsibility will be to use various machines, fabrication equipment, and hand tools to manufacture, assemble, and repair prototype parts and components.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of your work with other projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, and knowledge of quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing, assembling, and repairing prototype parts and components using conventional and CNC machines, fabrication and welding equipment, and hand tools.
  • Operating and maintaining laser cutting, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping machines to create models and mock-ups of new designs and concepts.
  • Developing and implementing quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with engineers, scientists, and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with prototypes, equipment, and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting, preferably with machinery equipment and prototypes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and explain technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other software applications for data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations such as ISO OSHA EPA etc.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English written and verbal.
