Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist Obstetrics to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the obstetrics department, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, identifying potential complications and taking proactive measures to prevent adverse outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, documenting all interactions and interventions.


Requirements

To succeed as a Nurse Specialist Obstetrics, you must possess current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), CPR certification, and a strong foundation in fetal monitoring and newborn assessment. A proven track record of working in high-risk obstetrics, labour assessments, and breastfeeding support is also essential. Advanced knowledge of Cerner applications and surgical net systems is highly desirable.
