Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Linux Systems Administrator to provide operational support for our video game development processes. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux environments, providing technical support to our development teams, and collaborating with our global IT team to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Support: Provide operational support for on-premise deployments of essential tools such as Perforce, GitLab, and Artifactory.
  • End-User Application Support: Assist end-users with application-related issues, ensuring they can work efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to production.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve existing processes and solutions, making them more efficient and effective.
  • Global Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues both locally and globally to ensure Ubisoft's production environment is set up for success.
  • Requirements Understanding and Solutions: Interact with studios across the globe to grasp their requirements and propose practical, sustainable solutions.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call weekend support approximately once every two months.

Requirements

  • Linux Environment: Solid professional experience working with Linux environments.
  • Low-Level Concepts: Knowledge of low-level concepts such as disk configurations, filesystems, and network setups.
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce.
  • Cloud and Containerization: Basic understanding of cloud concepts and containerization.
  • Ownership and Communication: Ability to take ownership of tasks, communicate effectively, and stay customer-oriented.
